Here’s some science on how these magical bottles help our emotions!

TINY MOLECULES

The molecules in essential oils are so small that they are able to cross the blood/brain barrier, reaching parts of the brain where all our emotions are stored.

THE LIMBIC SYSTEM

The limbic system of the brain is primarily responsible for our emotional life and also controls functions including adrenaline flow, behaviour, motivating, long-term memory and olfaction.

THE OLFACTORY SENSE

Our olfactory (smell) sense is almost directly connected to the limbic system meaning simply in haling an essential oil can have a powerful influence over how we THINK, how we FEEL and how we BEHAVE, it’s that simple!

RELEASE THE FEAR

A New York University study found the only way to release fear from the amygdala (part of the limbic system) is through smell.

FEELINGS GUIDE

Diffuse selected oil to create a calm space. Take a few moments to yourself.

Apply to your wrists or over your heart for emotional support. Being able to smell the oils is the best so make sure to apply it where you can smell it!

Carry with you throughout the day and inhale from the bottle or add a drop to your palms, rub together, cup over your nose and breathe deeply.
