Keeping Your Diffuser Clean

Keeping your diffusers clean is a super duper important, it helps to extend the life of our precious diffusers and will keep the operating at their best! Whether it’s a quick or deep clean – follow these easy steps!

Quick Clean – Once a Week

1. Unplug diffuser and dump out any remaining water/oil in the sink, rinse with water (careful not to get any water in the air vent).
2. Add a drop of YL Lemon oil onto a damp cloth or paper towel.
3. Wipe inside the diffuser.
4. Dip cotton swab in water and VERY gently wipe down metal sensor/mist chip found in the bottom of diffuser basin.
5. Rinse with water and dry off before plugging in.

Deep Clean – Once a Month

1. Unplug diffuser and dump out any remaining water/oil in the sink, rinse with water (careful not to get any water in the air vent).
2. Add a drop of YL Lemon oil onto a very soft bristle tooth brush or brush included with some of YL’s diffusers gently scrub inside of diffuser in circular motion.
3. Using a cotton swab VERY gently wipe down metal sensor/mist chip found in the bottom of diffuser basin.
4. Rinse with water and dry off before plugging in.
5. For glass lid of Aria Diffuser use warm water & Thieves dish soap to get it sparkling clean or pop in the dishwasher!
6. Put Thieves Cleaner on a cloth or a dot of Thieves dish soap with water and wipe down the outside of your diffuser, to clean off any spills or oil.
